So, so sad…..Diane Odell died the other day when the electric went out and the generator did not work. Ms. Odell lived in Tennessee and was confined to the lung since she was 3 years old. She went to college, wrote a children’s book and even helped with political campaigns. Her family made sure she always felt special, adorning her with head scarves and tiaras as well as making a special remote so she could watch her favorite soap operas. The family tried to keep the machine operating manually but her father had dementia and her mother has alzheimers and they just couldn’t do it.
The family never took a vacation and could never leave the home all at the same time!! If I was in this situation, I think I would have pulled the plug about 60 years earlier.
